The League City/Houston Bay Area is served by two modern hospitals with Life Flight capability and more than 40 medical groups/clinics. More than 500 physicians, surgeons, and general practice physicians, as well as over 150 dentists have practices in the region covering a wide range of specialties.

Extreme medical emergencies or afflictions requiring highly specialized treatment can be met at the world class Texas Medical Center in Houston, which is ten minutes (15 miles) north by Life Flight helicopter. The area is also only 15 minutes flight time away from the Shriner Children’s Hospital and Burn Center in Galveston, which is recognized nationally for its top-quality treatment of burn patients.

Clear Lake Regional Medical Center is a 595-bed hospital offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical, and specialty services, including:  Level III neonatal intensive care, heart and vascular center, breast diagnostic center, wound treatment center, and 24-hour emergency care.  With an outstanding team of more than 1,700 medical professionals, the hospital boasts a combination of superior medical services, leading edge technology, and personalized care.

CHRISTUS St. John Hospital

CHRISTUS St. John, located on the shores of Clear Lake, across from the Johnson Space Center, offers surrounding communities the latest technology in medical care. With 170 acute care beds, more than 400 physicians on their medical staff and almost 700 associates, CHRISTUS St. John Hospital provides a broad spectrum of adult and pediatric medical, surgical, and obstetrical care, as well as numerous ambulatory services.

Triumph Healthcare

Triumph Healthcare is one of the largest and leading providers of long-term acute care in the nation.  Triumph specializes in providing long-term acute care services to medically complex patients for whom the short-term acute care hospital is no longer the most appropriate or cost-effective setting.

UTMB Hospital Specialty Care Center

Opening in March, 2010, the specialty care center will be an outpatient specialty care and ambulatory surgical center, with an estimated clinical staff of 50 - 100 practitioners.  Services will include:  outpatient surgery, advanced imaging services, pediatric and adult clinics, and pediatric urgent care.

Devereux Hospital and Neurobehavioral Institute

Devereux Texas Treatment Network is part of a nationwide network of treatment facilities, specializing in treating children and adolescents experiencing a wide rage of emotional, behavioral, developmental, psychiatric, and/or chemical dependency disorders. The campus is located in League City.
